Celia Zamora

Celia Zamora, 82, of Brownsville, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026, at her residence in Brownsville.

Celia Zamora was born in Matamoros, Tamps., MX, to Eduvijes Garza, and Cirilo Ochoa, on April 9, 1943. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eduvijes and Cirilo Ochoa; a brother, Onesimo Ochoa, and granddaughter, Daisy Zamora.

Celia is survived by her husband, Juan Antonio Zamora; children, Maria Del Carmen Gomez (Jesus), Juan Antonio Zamora, Edna Navo (Danny), Roberto Zamora (Sandra), and Celia Patricia Salinas (Elliot); siblings, Ernestina, Esperanza, Jorge Luis, and Cirilo Ochoa; 12 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. All services will conclude after visitation.
