Alberto Yañez Flores, 73, of Brownsville, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville.

Alberto Yañez Flores was born in San Luis Potosi, MX, to Cresencia Flores and Clemente Yañez on March 20, 1952.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Cresencia and Clemente Yañez; sons: Pedro, Patricio, and Proceso Yañez.

Alberto Yañez Flores is survived by his daughters: Gudelia Yañez (Jaime), and Silvia Yañez (Pedro); and son, Ricardo Yañez (Isidora); sister, Beatriz Dominguez Flores; brothers: Jose Luis Amador Flores, and Fernando Dominguez Florez; 23 grandchildren, and numerous other relatives.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm - 9:00 pm with an evening service at 7:00 pm Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Monday, February 2, 2026, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Committal will follow at Guillen Community Cemetery.
